The course will occur in two sessions for three days per location and with a limited number of 18 participants per location. The first training will be conducted in Johannesburg on 15 February 2022, followed by Cape Town on 21 February 2022.
As per its ambitions to capacitated Small Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) within the sector, ZADNA has reserved four places for qualifying local SMMEs with Information Technology knowledge and understanding of network administration.
Interested candidates will need to pay an upfront fee of R1 000.00 to reserve their booking, and the booking fee will be refunded upon completion of the training. Prospective participants should submit their application through this link https://forms.office.com/r/iasfSyeQ98
Two industry experts, Mr Johan Stenstam and Mr Mark Elkins will offer this training.
“The internet ecosystem is evolving in a manner that transforms the world and presents ever-increasing economic opportunities for entrepreneurs and SMMEs. Through this training, we strive to unlock the economic potential of local SMMEs in the domain name registration business and accelerate the creation of new players within the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry”, says Molehe Wesi, CEO of ZADNA.
“DNS experts will develop the training material and deliver the course to ensure that there is a transfer of skills and capacity building in the local ISP community”, says Wesi.
The course will provide participants with the fundamentals of the DNS, the DNS terminology, DNS concepts and knowledge on installing and configuring DNS name servers.
Formalising the DNS training is the first step towards establishing a more sustainable and regular training programme in South Africa for the future.
